N. Sunil, renowned in the musical sphere as Erickavu N. Sunil, is an A Grade Mridangam artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan. He hails from Erickavu, near Haripad in the Alappuzha District of Kerala. Sunil's profound journey in the realm of Mridangam commenced at the tender age of four. Initially, his talent was nurtured by Krishnappa Bhagavathar and then by M.S. Raju. It was the legendary maestro Prof. Mavelikkara Velukkutty Nair who nurtured and refined his skills to the zenith.

Spanning over four decades as a performer, Sunil has graced the stage alongside illustrious musicians, including luminaries such as Padmabhushan T. V. Sankaranarayanan, Padmasri Neyyattinkara Vasudevan, Padmasri Prof. Parassala Ponnammal, Madhurai G S Mony, Prof: Mavelikkara Prabhakara Varma, Prof. Mavelikkara Velukkutty Nair, Dr. K. Omanakkutty, and Dr. S Sowmya. He has lent his artistry to both senior and contemporary musicians, including Dr. Sreevalsan J. Menon, Sankaran Namboodiri, Cherthala Renganatha Sharma, Kunnakkudi Balamuralikrishna, Thiruvengadu Jayaraman, Sharreth, M. Jayachandran, Balabhaskar, Kavalam Sreekumar, Sriram Gangadharan, T. V. Ramprasadh, Vishnudev Namboodiri, Akshay Padmanabhan, and many others.

Sunil has graced numerous prestigious venues, including Doordarshan & AIR National Program of Music, SVBC Nadaneerajanam in Tirupati, Nishagandhi Monsoon Raga National Music Festival in Trivandrum, Thureeyam National Music Festival in Payyannur, Ragasudha National Music Festival at Kerala Kalamandalam, and many more. He has performed extensively in all major temple festivals across Kerala and at major Sabhas including Sree Swathi Thirunal Sangeeth Sabha (Trivandrum), Fine Arts Society (Palghat), and Edappally Sangeeth Sadas (Kochi).
